It used to be on a campus machine, one that should be running 24/7,
and staff was hired to keep various machines and drives that way.
When it moved to apple2.caltech.edu, it moved to the personal machine
of Dan Zimmerman, which happened to be a Powermac. It's summer, and
Dan and I graduated two weeks ago. My bet is that the machine is
either packed up, crashed, or otherwise off for now.
Dan'll be a grad turkey at Caltech this fall; I won't, so I'll be
won't be able to bug him. I would recommend emailing
dmz@cco.caltech.edu with your complaints, but if he's off the
internet, don't count on a response.
