DSK, DO and PO files are file copies of =entire= Apple II 5.25 floppies 
and are intended to be used by emulators on PCs and Macs.  You will have 
to use a utility such as DSK2FILE to convert them into "real" Apple II 
disks.

Wherever you are getting your files, it's an emulator site rather than an 
Apple II site.  You can get "real" Apple II files from such FTP sites as 
liquefy.isca.uiowa.edu and apple2.caltech.edu. Some files can be gotten 
from CompuServe and AOL. The A2 forum on Genie is the center of the Apple 
II universe, with over 11,000 files.

Why do you mess with "obsolete technology"? The answer is simple. It's
