   That was me. I've been using a Quantum Lightning 730 model mechanism
(as of last week, exactly one year) which has been working just fine. 
I've even tested it with three separate RamFAST boards. :)

   I vagely recall having some slight difficulties in reformatting 
and partitioning the drive though. It had been shipped preformatted 
as one large 700MB HFS volume and the RamFAST wouldn't auto-detect it. 
Eventually though, after several reboots holding down '0', I managed 
to access the built-in RF utilities and see the drive. Ever since then
however, I've never had a problem.  

The RamFAST reports the following:

   Device name: QUANTUM LIGHTNING 730S        
 Serial number:

   Device size: 715808K

     Cylinders: 3658
Sectors/tracks: 128
         Heads: 4
