I am afraid that SIS indeed seems to be broken when accessing Google's
search page. I can repeat that crash.

There is no actual code on that page that SIS can interpret, as it is
just a single piece of Javascript, so even if SIS did not crash, you
would not be able to use the page if it had loaded.

However SIS should not crash even if it can't handle the page, which is
indeed a bug. Geoff and I have not worked on SIS for many years now, and
I am afraid we have now both moved on to other things. I doubt if either
of us would be able to look at fixing bugs any time soon.

The code for SIS is though now in the public domain, so your only
solution would be to download the source, and resolve the bugs yourself!
A tall order I would agree...
