Hello, Sid!  LTNS!

 Delphi never said they'd not support the Apple II. They said they were
probably going to abandon the CLI interface - which would have cost them
every user NOT on a PC or Mac.  They have since ammended that:  They will
maintain the CLI until there is no longer a demand for it.  All of us
Apple II, Commodor, Amiga, Atari, etc users are safe for a while yet.

As for Mr Turley... I'm not aware that Delphi treats Apple II files any
different from PC files.. I don't know of ANY on-line service that makes
ANY files available "free".  Downloading files is one of their prime
cash-cows.  Offering up libraries online for free is going to cost them
money - no matter how you cut it.
You are correct, too,  that most files on the online sites are gleaned
from other online sites and the 'Net.
