     The project looks like a success. As for the ISO-9660 .;1 (period
semi-colon one) file identifier business, the 'GS/OS Reference indicates
that the Apple High Sierra file system translator  (HS.FST) does not
require the ;1 part.

     Someone may have done an HS.FST mod to allow skipping an earlier
volume.
