The '2B-I' GAL chip on the TransWarp GS is for DMA. It was a free
upgrade several years ago, but since Applied Engineering is no more,
that won't do you any good. Apart from searching for a dead board to
pull that part from, you may want to contact ABC Direct. Much of AE's
original Apple II division work there, and I've noticed they carry
some former AE products and parts in stock. I know for certain they
do carry TWGS 32K cache daughterboards and CPU ribbon cables.
You can reach them via e-mail (abcdirect@aol.com) or through their
toll-free number (1-800-800-3680). They're located in Dallas, Texas.

Sequential Systems issued an update last spring, making the
latest ROM version 3.01f. However, there have been recent reports
that there are serious problems with this revision, so it may not
be wise to upgrade (all it offered was a fix for the built-in tape
backup software, when doing a restore anyway). Most people are still
using version 3.01e, myself included. Or sometimes known as 3.01ez,
which is no different, other than it has code to put the Hitachi
processor into Zilog emulation.
