If the amount of Spam and illicit posts in this group concerns you that much
then I would suggest joining an online service that has good Apple II
discussion areas such as Genie or Delphi.  Both of these services have very
good Apple II areas with a lot of software, and excellent support of a wide
range of Apple-related products by people with many levels of expertise.

I will be the first to admit that I am somewhat biased towards Genie because
I work for the Apple II Programmers RT on Genie, however I can tell you that
the Apple II Users RT (A2) has a very large following, and many users with a
high level of expertise in very diverse fields, and since A2 does have
"topic cops" you don't have to weed through the junk to find the discussion
on the subjects that interest you.
