This is absolutely normal.  Every version of the many RamFasts I have 
seen does this.  Once you copy the driver (if you have a GS) and the 
utility program to a floppy, turn off the ROM disk and you wont ever see 
it or need again.

I have never had this happen when I do the self test on the GS.  I am 
aware that the RamFast will permit a change in the boot partition if you 
hold down a key that matches the number of the partition you want to 
become the boot partition.  I am not at all sure of the details because 
I never do that but I am sure someone will come along and fill in the 
details if you want them.  I offer this info because I wonder if the 
self test is triggering this feature on your machine.
