I _was_ hoping someone would come up with some _good_ news, but... I'm
sorry, I have never heard of any specific drivers available for the Apple
Scribe from GSOS.
However, a lot of software, with proprietary printer routines, are capable
of printing graphics to the Scribe. For example, Print Shop, The
NewsRoom, and Toy Shop have specific Scribe drivers. The best software I
ever used with a Scribe was DazzleDraw (ProDOS) which had some awesome
colour output on a Scribe. The only GS specific program I ever used on
the Scribe was Print Shop GS. Nice colour but I remember the resolution
was a bit chunkier than that from the ImageWriter II.
The Scribe does not emulate the IW1 or IW2.
You can print text-only output from most other software. If you need to,
you can add Scribe-specific printer codes to generate colour output from
AppleWriter, AppleWorks, Bank Street Writer etc. - Provided, of course
you can get the printer codes.
