I think so. I have hooked my scribe up to a 2+ with Super Serial card
(either with the jumper block set to 'terminal' or set to 'modem' with an
external null modem adapter). With a 2GS, you have to have the correct
cable(s) (which I did get working finally after somone gave me some cables).
I even got the Scribe to print in GSOS using the Imagewriter driver
but there is some distortion-it needs a good driver (or the correct :-) one).

One thing I found out a long time ago is that the SCribe does NOT require
a ribbon if you use the appropriate kind of thermal paper. I believe that
the extra sensitive FAX paper worked for me. (I did not need to use the old
Silentype paper that was originally used (and is now also hard to find)).
If you can, I suggest trying several kinds of thermal (fax?) paper and seeing
which ones work (and how well). (I had to remember to test both sides of
the paper-I guess they are coated so that printing only occurs on one side.)
Since the only thermal paper I could get to work was rolled, I have to
watch the paper because the printer is using its friction feed.

: use with such a printer?
