Sorry this message is slightly off topic. I am tying to convert the following classic Lunar lander game (to non- apple basic actually) http://www.moorecad.com/classicbasic/basic/creative/lunar.bas ...and I am stumped at line 140. Specifically where is says G=1E-03. 1E-03 appears again at line 160 and 170 Can anyone help me with what 1E-03 means, and if there is another way to express it? Thanks in advance.
1e-03 or 1e-3 are valid ways to write constants in Applesoft as well as in most other BASICs, meaning 1*10^-3. BASIC also prints small (and very large) numbers in this form, often called scientific notation--essentially "floating-point in print". ;-) -michael NadaNet 3.0 for Apple II parallel computing!
