GS/OS has its own built-in cache. If some other cache program
crashes the system, it's defective and should not be used. [By the
way, as Ian Schmidt and myself both noted last week, the thermometer
means nothing-- it'll always keep moving. When the beep happens, the
system is hosed. Please listen and learn from knowledgable others
instead of making us reply the same way each time.]

If you are slowly turning into a performance freak, then forget
software forms of cache-- the RamFAST SCSI controller is _WAY_ faster
than anything else on the market. Yes, you'll have to invest some
money in it, but it's worth it-- booting System 6.0 time was cut by
1/3 to 1/2 when I replaced the HS SCSI card by my 256K Rev C
Ramfast. Software is not going to improve on that. An accelerator
(Zip, TWGS) also helps system boot performance, and is also a
worthwhile investment.
