I have just acquired a PowerMac 8600 that has heaps of RAM and a 4GB
hard drive. I am consider setting it up as a file server for my IIgs
and my IIe that I plan to put an Apple II Workstation card in. The Mac
currently has Mac OS 8.1 installed and I was considering upgrading it
to Mac OS 9.1 so some of my older macs (LC575, LC475, Color Classic
etc) can also connect to it a little more easily.
So, can a IIgs connect to Mac OS 9.1 with sharing turned on (I don't
plan to set up an appleshare server unless i really have to), AND, can
a IIe with workstation card do similar. If not, what is the new
version of Mac OS that these two can connect to?
