Stuffit Expander works fine for these files - in fact, neither
MacGZip nor Unzip it worked correctly on them.  I suspect the
problem with the disk images on Asimov is not in the unstuffing,
but in the source.  I'm trying out IIe2.0.1, a //e-emulator for the
mac, and the only dsk.gz at Asimov which would boot was the
"Apple Presents" disk (expanded with Stuffit &, in my case,
ResEdited to file type "DSK5" and creator "AIIe".)  Dos3.3
began to load & then gave a "CANNOT LOAD..." message
in the IIe monitor.  All others launched the emulator's
debugger, which means (I think) that something's wrong
with the code, perhaps that these aren't legal copies of the
programs.  (Somewhere in the IIe2.0.1 doc's it was mentioned that
hacked copies of programs wouldn't run correctly)  

Does anyone know if this is in fact the case, that the DOS3.3 and
ProDos images available on the net aren't legitimate & will only
work with programs that can somehow 'nudge' inconsistencies?

It would make sense that "Apple Presents" would work, because
it's an essentially useless demonstration program that would
not need to be protected by its authors.

Also, if anyone can point me to any other sources of disk images
for the //e, I'd be grateful.  Not neccessarily limited to freebies -
I just need to load something substantial, to know that the
emulator works before I register it.
