The XT BIOS doesn't have built-in support for 3.5HD, but a controller
card can provide its own BIOS extension (or something) to do this. I
have an old XT clone at work which has combination, and it usually
works fine (well, it did when I last used it about three years ago).
The PC Transporter DOES work with a high density 3.5" drive, but it
has to be connected via another controller (SuperDrive with SuperDrive
card, PC 3.5HD drive on BlueDisk, Floptical on SCSI).
