I appreciate you answering my questions.   I understand what your
saying now, so ya, I can see the problem.

And your right about Apple II owners (and also Commodore) tending to
take care of their computers more.   The Apple II I got from a guy in
west seattle said it had been in his in his closet for like 10 years
and finally decided to get rid of it because his wife was going to
make him put it in the garage and he figured someone would like it
better.   Works great.

Seems with PC they would get passed down to someone else, till they
got better.   And considering how hard it is to take off them 1 piece
top part of the case, I'm sure it was easier to upgrade and throw that
away eventually.

It's sad I don't have any PC's less then a pentium.  I have a dual
pentium motherboard, not even sure what speed.
But I do have quite a few older mac's.   Guess i've been more
interested in the computers I didn't have, then the ones I did.  lol


And it's funny, because there is 2 threads going right now that seem
to be discussing the same thing, well, the same problem.
