Should I unplug //c P.S.?

Should I unplug my //c's power supply from the wall outlet when
not in use?  It gets and remains warm, even when the //c is 
powered off.

Will leaving the power supply in the wall outlet shorten it's
life span (outside of the possibility of power surges, lightning
strikes, etc)?
