need help with old Archive QIC-2 type tape backup

I picked up this old Archive tape drive. The mechanism
is fine and I have tapes for it. I even have the manuals.
They say that the system uses the QIC-2 format and is
connected to the interface card with a QIC-2 cable.
Can this be made to work from a //e? Any advice would
be appreciated.
