Recently, my MDIdeas Supersonic stereo card + digitizer lost a channel,
and so I'm looking to buy another GS stereo card. Actually, I'm not all
that certain that it's not the motherboard that lost the channel, but
I'm hoping it isn't. Any suggestions? Can I still buy the Soundmeister
somewhere? What was generally considered to be the cleanest/best
sounding
stereo board for the GS? Thanks for any help!
Charles T. 'Dr. Tom' Turley <gbmaidsf@wco.com> replies:
You can get the SoundMeister from ALLTECH Electronics Co. Give a call at
(619) 724-2404, FAX (619) 724-8808 or write at: 2618 Temple Heights
Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056.
I use the SoundMeister Stereo card - with its software, Digital Sessions
v1.0 and find both of great value. I wouldn't think of using any other
card now. I gave my old MDIdea stereo card to one of our newest 1WSW
team members, or I'd hqave sent it to you, for free!
But, in any event you should consider buying the SoundMeister
Stereo card. It's really great! I got mine way back in 1993 at the
last AppleFest or Apple Expo, I forget what they called, I've been to
them all. I bought it directly from the original designer D. Proni at
the Econ booth in 1993. It still functions perfectly.
Hope that helps you with your Stereo card needs.
Cheers!
Tom
