Apple IIgs boot error
I've been having a mild problem on my Apple IIgs recently and
I would appreciate any insight on my problem.
When I boot my computer (cold-startup power-on), the computer
hangs in the ROM startup screen. When I press Ctrl-Reset, the computer
jumps to 40-col, no change in text, and still hangs.
After a few light vibrations to the motherboard, another Ctrl-
Reset, the computer crashes into the monitor, bank 2 somewhere. Control
Panels work at this time. I type c700g<ret>, and the computer boots
fine. No other problems during my session other than the usual.
History: this problem only cropped up after I attempted to
install a ZipGS Accelerator... The card did not work, and I'm having it
replaced. The regular 65C816 is currently in the CPU slot.
The control panel setting is currently set to Scan. My Quantum/
RamFast combo are currently in Slot 7.
The ZipGS attempt has been the only attempted hardware change in
the past 4 months.
Any more info needed to kill this problem?
