I have a friend who has cerebral palsy and an Apple 2gs and she
needs help, here is her letter:

I have an Apple 2gs computer at home and cannot find any software
for it. As a handicapped person, living alone, I access the computer by
using a head switch hooked up to a Adaptive Firmware Card. I scan my
letters or commands on the screen.

Can you please send me some information about your club or refer me to a
source of software. I am desperate to enjoy my computer to the fullest,
but I am getting frustrated at the lack of support of anyone concerning
my computer, which was provided by the Hugh MacMillan Centre in Toronto.

Thank You very much,

J.C.

Thank you for taking the time in reading this letter, and responding to
me by e-mail.
Thanks,

Dear Norm,

Being a disabled and retired person who lives on a fixed monthly income
and uses the IIGS, I was deeply touched with you request for software
for your friend with CP. I've taken the time to contact Jeff Tompkins
at Quality Computers, to discuss the possibility of their making a
donation of the Apple II/IIGS software they offer. Quality Computers
have a vast selection of great software titles for your friend to selct
from. They can be reached at the toll-free number 1-800-890-8263.

I can also contact several other Apple II/IIGS software vendors and I'm
sure they would be more than happy to donate their software to your
friend also. I will need a reply from you via an email furnishing your
friends surface mail address, proof of her condition, her name and such,
to forward on to Quality Computers and the other Apple II/IIGS software
commercial vendors that I have a friendly relationship with, before they
would be able to ship her the software by donations - that she might
like to have from them.

I have a vast collection of; freeware, shareware and public domain
software for the Apple II/IIGS, that I'd be happy to send her by a
surface mail parcel also, at my own time and expense, if she requires
anything more.

I hope this offer of help will be useful and looking forward to your
reply, I remain:

Sincerely,
