On the GS, that's not really something to be concerned about at
all. Max throughput of the 1Mhz system bus is something like 1MB/sec
peak, with 600K/sec being pretty dang good. [Of course, if you're also
hooking it up to a faster system, the ability for higher performance
might be relevant]
Avg seek time is gonna be far more important in terms of visible in
the long run.
