I'm not sure, but I think PhoneNet connectors use the pair of wires in a
phone cord which are unused by an ordinary phone connection.  So, if the
wiring in your house is new enough, you can connect these two computers
by plugging each into a phone outlet.  But don't take my word for it.  It 
may be that the building's phone wiring needs to be outfitted with 
special shielding, or, indeed, that I dreamt the whole thing.
