Whoops. SIMM refers to the chip =package=, while DRAM refers to
the chip =type=. Unless I'm terribly mistaken, all main memory
SIMMS are some type of DRAM. That's why we also use static-RAM
caches.
SIMM means Single Inline Memory Module. DRAM means Dynamic Ram.
The old RAM chips were DIP style, which means Dual Inline Pin.
