The IIc will support a 9600 modem or.. I think up to 19.200bps via the
serial port - possibly faster, but you'd probably need to accelerate it.
1200 bps access to the internet is insane - get at least a 14.4
THe best comms program you can use on the IIc is ProTERM, available from
several sources, costs about $80 or so, and is worth at least twice that.
Shareware/freeware, I'd use ACT 3.0.3 - available on Genie, Delphi, and
possibly the Ground FTP site.
