On the other hand, it's not that big a deal. Don't do it if you're
a novice at soldering, but if you know how to solder, you won't get the
board too hot. I've soldered on my IIgs motherboard, on my Centris 650
motherboard, and on a 6 layer board at work (many times) without harming
anything. I guess I'm just trying to say that if you are experienced
at soldering, there's no reason to have an irrational fear of motherboards,
just be careful.
