Re: Apple Thermal Printer

Whoops! Be careful. Apple's thermal transfer printer was the Scribe. This
printer used a thermal transfer ribon that's become hard to find. Their
earlier thermal printer was the Silent Type. The Silent Type was originally
developed for the Apple /// and could be used on a II with the addition of a
special interface card. The Silent Type used thermal paper similar to some
Fax machines. The paper was available from Graphic Controls the last time I
checked (I bought a case from them last summer). The Silent Type _could not_
be used on a IIc because of the special interface card.
