All applications which use the standard IIgs Font Manager and
QuickDraw calls for dealing with fonts will automatically make use of
Pointless.
If a program uses a fixed font for displaying information, then you
will not gain any benefit from Pointless, except possibly when
printing (if you have a TrueType version of the font which is used).

AppleWorks GS has a self-imposed limit of 48 points when you select a
font (which can be bypassed by holding down the Option key when using
the Choose Font dialog, if I remember right). Other than that, it
shouldn't have any restrictions with Pointless.
ShadowWrite is based on the TextEdit toolset, which is fully compatible
with Pointless, so I can't think of any reason for different behaviour.
