EasyMount has little to do with helping people disabilities.  It is
used most extensively with a networked GS as it allows one to make
aliases.  It is a very handy init and to my knowledge is not buggy.  I
have to admit that I stayed away from it for a long time simply
because I thought it was probably buggy (that darn "Easy" in the name,
I guess).

Don't nuke it.  If your copy is corrupt then you might want to replace
it.  I have found EasyMount very handy and I use it to keep an aliased
folder on my desktop which itself contains aliases of my most commonly
used programs.  Recently, I have also added (with the help of DocAlias
from EGO systems) an aliased folder which contains aliases of all the
inits and DAs I don't have installed but may wish to load with 
IR2.0.2.
I just click on the alias and the DA is loaded.  Neat.
 
It sometimes takes a little imagination to see how one might use
aliases but once you start using them, working without seems tedious.
