Help?

Anyone out there with some information on apple3 it would be very much
appericated. We have a apple 3 10mg hardrive only we can't seem to access
the hardrive at all? We believe it is a quark but no nothing at all about 
it, we have never ran an apple before, don't know any commands at all. We 
are some what fimilular with IBM. We have a lot of manuals with this system
have read them all tried it all with no success. Have a quark catalyst disk,
when booted with it, it says I/O error any information would be greatly
appericated. Anything at all because we know nothing.
