I made an inquiry about Matt Deatherage - to a friend of mine at Apple 
Computer about 2 months ago.  Matt Deatherage was still in prison then.
I always thought his sentence was harsh and unjustified, given all the 
circumstances involved.

I was given his snail mail (in confidentiality) and was advised he 
should be out fairly soon, hopefully with a good job waiting for him.  
Let's all just hope he gets a good job that can relate to the Apple 
computers, in some capacity.  

He was and still is a valuable person for Apple II user needs!  Matt, 
here's wishing you a speedy release and a successful future in whatever 
you might be able to do with respect to the Apple II's.
