Zip drive as startup

The Zip drive theoretically will work as a boot drive, but since
you mention having an Apple HS SCSI you have a problem.
The Apple Card does not supply term power, nor does the Zip drive.

A modification can be made to the Apple HS SCSI card so that it
supplies term power. Once done, you should be able to use the Zip
drive as a boot drive.

Harold Hislop on Genie (Harold.H@genie.com) knows how to do this.
(Of course.)
