Will a Global Village Bronze 9600 fax modem work w/ the IIgs?

Hi. I have a chance to trade for a global Village Bronze 9600 faxmodem.
It doesn't have an adapter and plugs into the mouse port, I was told,
to get its power. Anyone here of this working on a IIgs.
 
 
Anyone hear of this working for the IIgs?  The trader said that the modem's
instruction booklet mad no mention of the IIgs, but, it SOUNDS like it may work.
I know. I know. I always hear about some technicality.
 
Which software should work with this modem, if it will work at all?
