    Icon Info should show Kind as "Unknown". Your ICONS/Desktop file has
probably been messed up by some application which automatically added its
icon. If this is the problem, then one cure is to replace the current
Desktop with an earlier, non-messed, version (like the one on your '6.0.1
diskettes).

   Eventually, System will be fixed to handle icons correctly. The user
should have some way of telling a new application that its icon is _not_
(ever, forever) to be added to Desktop.
