Apple II emulator for IBM?

Hey folks,

Well, fiscal restraint required me to sell off my much-loved vintage
IIgs last summer (sigh...).  Now that my roomie's got a 486, I'd like to
install an Apple II emulator and mess around.

Seems that I recall, back in the day when I was browsing csa, that there
was an emulator for IBM that newbies would ask about every now and then.
Can't find anything in any FAQ, unfortunately.  Can anybody provide
info. as to whether this thing exists?
