I can't give you a general answer.  I signed up for Delphi's 20/20 plan
(20 hours of use a month for $20).  They charge an extra $3/month for
internet access.  Access to Delphi is via Sprintnet or Tymnet.
Use the VT100 emulation in Proterm, full duplex, xon/xoff, no parity,
eight bits, one stop bit.  The key point to all of this -- besides
specific details -- is that you must use a character interface and not
try to use any service that looks for a Windows GUI.  If this isn't
enough, write for more.  Good luck.
