Excellent! I asked about this same driver a couple of years ago and
got nowhere fast. I even mentioned it to Jawaid Bazyar (the author of
the driver) last year when he was selling all of his Apple IIgs stuff,
and I never heard anything more. I'll try this out tonight. :-)

BTW: to the OP, having a SCSI-2 drive attached *shouldn't* cause
system instability. I've been using a SCSI-2 CDROM for a couple of
years and have suffered no system instability. The only thing I'm
aware of that the SCSI-2 driver adds is the ability to control audio
CD's due to the protocol differences between SCSI-1 and SCSI-2.
Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong here. Maybe insure that you
have the SCSI-ID set correctly on the attached devices and that the
SCSI chain is properly terminated. Termination power is another point
worth mentioning for the Apple SCSI cards (they don't provide
termination power without modification), but I can't remember the
particulars and whether or not this might be the cause of your
problems. If you search c.s.a2 I'm sure you will dig up loads of info.
Also, I believe the A2 FAQ mentions this stuff as well.

Cheers,
Mike
