Not even on a GS with 8 megs of RAM is there a SLIP/PPP connection.

Or just yet.  Urban myth says there's a GS web browser in the works.
No idea what format it will be, but my guess is that you will want more
memory.  Which is a good idea anyhow, since a lot of programs expect or
require at least 2 megs for performance.  (I have 1.25, and though I can
work GIFs/JPGs/MODs it is not without occasional memory-gone crashes.)
