I doubt it.  It requires 256K to run at all.  512K should be enough to
work satisfactorily.

You might have been confusing it with AppleWorks GS, which requires
1.25MB to run at all (and at least 2MB to run well).

Less than 256K, yes.  A 128K machine will have 40K of desktop space
with AppleWorks 3.0 (55K with 2.1 or earlier), but only 20K with
AppleWorks 4.x.
