RAMFACTOR IIE: hardware bug in upper 256K bank???

Four years ago, I bought _new_ two identical RamFactor AE memory cards.

Virtually from the start, one card worked fine when populated with up to 768K
of memory, but when fully loaded with 1024k, it had strange hangups etc.

Now, the second Ramfast does the same thing ---- works fine with up to 
768K, but doesnt work reliably with 1024K.   I(ts not the RAMs----- I 
swapped them around.

Any interpretations?

Also, there are two JUMPERS near the keyboard end of RAMFACTOR.   These 
are both jumpered.   They are not mentioned in the manual ---- any advice?
What if jumpers are removed.....?

P.S. All self-tests are passed by the IIe.  Also, this is _not_ a power 
shortage; the IIe has used super-stable IBM 150 watt power for several weeks.
Its voltages are correct and they never vary.
