Someone please help! ADT and formatting Prodos

HELP! Can do a first-time setup of ADT 1.21 under Prodos?

I'm trying to get my software-less Apple ][+ up and running, but that
requires software to get stuff off the net. BUT all the software I
need is on the net! Catch-22.

The ADT docs say to connect the null modem cable and "boot DOS 3.3
then type IN#x". All I have is one Prodos disk, no DOS 3.3 disk, ug!
What about booting Prodos and doing the same thing. I hope this is
possible. I'm going to try it but I'm guessing there MIGHT be
something I'm missing.

Also, how do I format a disk under Prodos? I know that in DOS 3.3, I
type "INIT HELLO". It's been 14 years since I typed on an Apple. I
can currently LIST, LOAD, CAT, RUN from my "]" prompt with no
problems.

Is there anyway to boot in Prodos and INIT a disk for DOS 3.3?

My plan is to:
1) Get a boot disk (done, but it's Prodos, not DOS 3.3)
2) Get ADT running by transferring adt.dmp & adtcfg.bas over the null
modem cable.
3) Use ADT to write PROTERM.DSK from my IBM to my Apple Disk ][
4) Dial up the net!!

Man, do I sound like I'm desperate?! (haha)

Please help,
