The batteries are type 'N' 1-1/2 volt available from Radio Shack.

I am unable to get my Thunderclock software to transfer to my 'homefiles' 
in order to attach it to an E-mail letter.    If you will send me your 
address, I'll mail you a disk with the software on it (5-1/4 or 3-1/2?).

I have used Thunderclock for many years, and it is a good clock card.    
Recently I switched to a 'No-Slot-Clock' because I needed the extra slot 
for all this modem stuff.
