Well, if it is that hard, why can Publish It do it?  If an 8-bit program 
can do it, why can't a GS program?  That is one of my big frustrations 
with GW III.  Publish It 4 is a more powerful and easier to use program.  
I was hoping the update to GW III would fix that disparity, but it 
does'nt sound like it did.  The only reason I am forced to use GW III is 
the fact that Apple never released any 8-bit LaserWriter drivers for 
anything newer than the LW IINTX.  So, if I want to print to my LW 320, I 
have to use GW III.

My understanding is that the postscript interpreter is in the PRINTER, 
not the PROGRAM.  Postscript is just text that the printer knows what to 
do with.  Publish It imports the text of an EPS file into a graphics 
object and lets the printer render it.  No graphic is displayed on 
screen, but who cares?
