The solution is a mailing list merged to the newsgroup with someone
filtering the traffic to keep out the MMF spams and the hose heads.
There's lots of newsgroups/mailing lists that run this way.

Unless they've managed to rip out that part of the program.
I use TIN on several systems and it's working on each of them.
