Well, I got my CD-ROM drive from Alltech Electronics and I talked
to Tony Diaz himself and I'm pretty sure he told me to get the newer ROM
(I was planning on buying a Rev. D card instead!). I already did the
CD-ROM drive swap thing (actually I tried his CD-ROM drive out before he
did). It had the same problem (crashing). Anyway, I'm pretty dead set
on buying the upgrade chip...it's only like $15 or so. I like having an
"up to date" system. I'll study your post and do some tests though, thanks.
