Translating adb files

       I currently have an appleworks 4 adb file which I would like very
much to transfer into awgs.  Unfortunately, when I try to open the file
from awgs, the program hangs.  I have done exactly the same operation
with an aw3 adb file, so I know it's possible.  Does anyone have a fix?
       I would like to make this change, even if I have to edit the file
header from the monitor.  Please help.  Anyone?
