I'm pretty sure CP/M is *NOT* in the public domain.  In fact, the version that
came with the Microsoft Softcard is accompanied by one of the draconian license
agreements that gives Digital Research the legal right to take your firstborn
child if you even *think* of giving copies away...

The best bet for finding the CP/M disks is probably to hang out in
comp.sys.apple2.marketplace, and try to find somebody who's selling their
CP/M system.
