I'm not an expert at all, but yeah that seems to me like you're asking for
trouble. First of all, AE recommended getting one of their heavy duty
power supplies even if you only had three or more cards in your system
(especially if one of them is an accelerator). Also, how many floppy
drives do you have in your chain? Apple recommended never having more
than four, stating that it would draw out too much power. That may also
be your problem with the power. I would suggest getting one of the AE
power supplies off a vulcan (it's what everybody else seems to be eager
for, although I'd be content enough having a vulcan drive still attached
to it:). So I would suggest going to comp.sys.apple2 and look into
getting a new p/s anyway, and yeah it might make sense to have a case for
the drive as well.
