Ahah! Yep, I've had a pair of CVue LCD dispplays for the IIc. I sold one
at-cost and put the other on my IIc+ (it does indeed use the 15 pin video
connector). The LCD isn't for everybody (very low contrast and need good
lighting to be able to read it) but I _really_ like it. The external RGB
adapter you're thinking of is probably the Video 7 (?) adapter. I had one on
my original IIc as it generated 16 levels of grey on a monochrome monitor in
addition to the RGB port. I never had an RGB connected to it and I understand
even Video 7's connector was nonstandard. The Video 7 went with my IIc when I
sold it ooohh so many years ago and didn;t come back with it when the person
I sold it so gave it back to me a couple of years ago.
